ALPH 2048 Arena is like regular 2048, but turned into a live competition with real stakes. Think of it like this: You walk into an arcade where one machine has a “top score of the day.” Anyone can pay to play, and if you beat the top score, your name goes to the top and you win from the prize pot. That’s basically what ALPH 2048 Arena does, but on Alephium and on-chain. How it works (simple) 1. You connect your wallet. 2. You start a ranked run by paying the current entry fee. 3. You play 2048 for up to 8 minutes. 4. You submit your score on-chain. 5. If your score beats #1, you become the new leader and can win from the pot. What is the “pot”? The pot is the reward pool that makes competition fun. • It grows as people play. • People can also boost it directly. • The app shows Current Pot / Payout so it’s easy to see what’s in play. Why people keep playing • You can try to take #1. • If you’re #1, others try to dethrone you. • Pot incentives + leaderboard pride create a constant back-and-forth. 24-hour reset rule (important) To keep competition active, rounds reset if the leaderboard goes quiet: • If no one beats the top score for 24 hours, the leaderboard resets — but the pot carries forward. • A new round begins, so everyone gets another shot at #1. • Since the pot remains, early players in a fresh round can sometimes win with comparatively lower scores. So old dead rounds don’t stay frozen forever — there’s always a fresh competition cycle. It keeps the game familiar (still 2048), but adds: • real competition, • visible rewards, • transparent on-chain submissions, • and ongoing round cycles so it doesn’t get stale.
